The Big Idea.

Blending the Culture of Cycling and Japanese Car Racing through a custom one-off set of wheels

This idea centers on customizing a set of Rolf bicycle wheels to pay homage to Japan’s renowned racing and tire brand, Bridgestone. The design involves repainting the wheels black and applying vinyl decals of Bridgestone’s name in Japanese kanji, blending cycling performance with Japanese automotive culture.

The concept symbolizes the fusion of high-performance engineering from both worlds—bicycles and motorsports. The visual impact is heightened by the oversized, graffiti-inspired graphics that bleed off the wheels, emphasizing boldness and creativity. Personal touches, like the initials of the states where the creator has lived, add further meaning. This project turns ordinary wheels into a culturally inspired, artistic tribute that celebrates innovation, style, and heritage.
