The Big Idea.

Creating a Custom Fender Partscaster Guitar - "Homage" Inspired by New York City

This project involves designing a vibrant, artistic guitar that pays tribute to New York City’s iconic culture and landmarks. The guitar features a pickguard made from a New York state license plate, with an illustration of the Statue of Liberty holding a blazing torch. The back of the neck showcases the Manhattan skyline, while the body is covered in graffiti art, reflecting NYC’s street culture. The name "Homage" underscores the project’s purpose as a tribute to the city’s energy, resilience, and artistic spirit. Additional details include paint drips on the outsole and initials representing the creator's hometowns. The finished piece is a colorful, dynamic artifact that celebrates NYC’s legacy through bold visual storytelling..
